About
My name is Brandon Kennemore and I am a member of the Republican Party running for Little River County Sheriff and Collector.
I am a lifelong resident of Little River County and a 2003 graduate of Ashdown High School. I grew up in Ogden and I have lived most of my adult life in Ashdown and Richmond. I am married to Stephanie Kennemore and together we have six daughters ranging from the ages 12 to 22. We also have one granddaughter. Our girls currently attend or have graduated from Foreman School District. I am the son of Ernie and Kim Kennemore of Richmond/Ogden. My family has been active members of the SonRise Cowboy Church since their beginning five years ago.
I knew at 10 years old when my uncle, Mark Kennemore, began his law enforcement career that I wanted to follow in his footsteps. At 14 years old, I joined the Ashdown Police Department’s Explorer Program. During this time, I logged thousands of hours riding with Ashdown Police Officers who taught me the values of public service. At 18 years old, Sheriff Danny Russell, gave me the opportunity to work as a Jailer at the Little River County Sheriff’s Office. While working as a jailer, I also crossed trained as a dispatcher.
In July 2006, I attended the Arkansas Law Enforcement Training Academy. Since that time, I have gone on to become a Professional Instructor in Arkansas Law Enforcement and an Instructor in Firearms.
Since 2006, I have worked as a law enforcement officer in Little River County and surrounding counties. During that time, I have primarily specialized in Criminal Investigations. I have worked multiple crimes to include, but not limited to, homicides, rapes, residential and commercial burglary, and over a thousand drug cases. I have a deep understanding of how narcotics affect our community and the role they play in most of the crimes listed above.
Currently, I am employed full time as a Sergeant at Miller County Sheriff’s Office where I am assigned to the 8th South Drug Task Force and the FBI Task Force out of the Texarkana field office. I am also currently employed full time as a Patrol Deputy at the Little River Sheriff’s Office. I have served with the Little River Sheriff’s Office under Sheriff Walraven since January 2017.
